TERMS OF LESSON SCHEDULING

Ace Tuition Skipton – Terms of Service

1. Scheduling
   Lessons are generally scheduled at a fixed, recurring weekly time unless otherwise agreed. Ace Tuition Skipton reserves the right to amend, reschedule, or cancel any lesson where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, professional commitments, or other reasonable cause. In such cases, reasonable notice will be given, and an alternative time offered where possible.

2. Session Cancellations
   Clients must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session, will be charged in full at our discretion. This position must be read in alignment with contract termination terms, at 12 and 13.

   1. If a student is unwell, and notification is provided early on the morning of the scheduled session, we may, at our sole discretion, waive charges. This lenience will not be applied to immediate notice prior to the session; only towards cancellations deemed reasonable and unavoidable.

3. Unreasonable Cancellations
   We reserve the right to determine what constitutes an unreasonable cancellation. Examples include, but are not limited to, cancellations with inadequate notice, repeated rescheduling, or otherwise dubious or unreliable conduct.

4. Initial Session
   Any client who schedules an initial session will remain liable for the cost of that session should they subsequently withdraw from the arrangement without attending.

5. Liability and Educational Outcomes
   By booking sessions, you acknowledge that Ace Tuition Skipton cannot guarantee any specific educational outcome, grade, or test result. While every effort will be made to assist the student in achieving their goals, Ace Tuition Skipton shall not be held liable for any lack of desired outcome.

6. Feedback and Reputation
   You agree not to publish or disseminate negative feedback or reviews based solely on any perceived lack of educational progress or outcome. In the event of non-compliance with this provision, you agree to accept liability for any resulting reputational or financial loss incurred by Ace Tuition Skipton.

7. Acceptance of Terms
   By booking or attending any tutoring session, you confirm unreservedly your acceptance of these Terms of Service and acknowledge that they apply to each and every session conducted by Ace Tuition Skipton.

8. Payment Terms
   Payment for each session is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed. For block bookings, payment must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed. Invoices not settled within 7 days of issue may incur a late payment fee of £10, or interest at 5% per month, whichever is higher. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of lessons until outstanding balances are cleared.

9. Communication
   All communications relating to scheduling, payment, or lesson content must be made directly with Ace Tuition Skipton via an agreed method of contact. We aim to respond quickly, but no specific response time is guaranteed.

10. Confidentiality
    Both parties agree to keep confidential all personal, academic, or proprietary information shared during tutoring sessions. Materials provided by Ace Tuition Skipton remain the intellectual property of the tutor and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written consent.

11. Conduct and Participation
    Students are expected to attend lessons prepared and ready to engage. Repeated lack of preparation, poor behaviour, or failure to cooperate may result in termination of the tutoring arrangement at our discretion, with any remaining fees due immediately.

12. Termination and Notice, Low-Volume Weekly Tuition
    Where tuition with a student is less than 8 hours per week, either party may terminate the tutoring arrangement by providing one week’s notice. Ace Tuition Skipton reserves the right to terminate immediately in cases of unreasonable behaviour, repeated missed sessions, or breach of these terms.

13. Termination and Notice, High-Volume Weekly Tuition
    Where tuition with an individual student exceeds 8 hours per week:

    1. The Client acknowledges that these hours constitute a long-term reservation of the Tutor’s working time, during which the Tutor is unable to accept other students.

    2. Each booking is designated as a ‘block booking’, which renews on a rolling 4-week basis.

    3. Fees for each 4-week block are payable whether or not the client chooses to attend all lessons within that block.

    4. Either party may terminate the arrangement by giving four weeks’ written notice.

    5. If the Client terminates the arrangement with less than four weeks’ notice, the Client agrees to pay the equivalent of four weeks of tuition fees, representing the Tutor’s loss arising from the sudden cancellation of reserved teaching hours that cannot reasonably be refilled on short notice.

14. Data Protection
    Personal data provided to Ace Tuition Skipton will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR. Data will be used solely for the purposes of delivering tutoring services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

15. Governing Law
    These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
